Warm weather today :D That doesn't mean much though because we swing back and forth between blizzard and hot a lot this time of year.

BBUUUUUTTTTT.....

My chives are coming up, the day lilys are coming up, found a dandelion (fed it to my favorite duck :D ) and the corn I planted in jiffy pots in my cold frame is SPROUTING!!!

SSPPRRINNNGGGG!!!!! WOO HOO!

Our snowiest month is usually March, but it is nice seeing signs of life in the garden :D

You can visit, but bring that parka of yours just in case :D

I saw a frog in my pond the other day, and have been hearing peepers for a few days now. Last night, they were really loud. But then again, it was pouring!

Spring? What is this Spring that you talk about?
We got 2 inches of white fluffy overnight, and 6 more inches on the way.

Do you know why sex is like snow?

You never know how many inches you're going to get or how long it will last.

spring is just a dream right now.

Not bad enough to close schools here, just enough to make things miserable again. We got about 4-5 inches of snow last night.

We are having a cold snap :th (well, a coolish snap!) but I'm still hoping to get my tomatoes planted this weekend....sometime. No frost warning, but it's still supposed to get down in the 30's tonight. Glad we didn't burn the remainder of our wood last weekend! We almost built a big bonfire. Looks like we'll need it to heat the cabin instead.

I do still have some frozen ground in a couple of shaded places, but the perennials and herbs are in direct sun. That is where I am seeing green. On the way to the duck pen this morning I also saw some clover sprouts. That means the ducks have to stay locked up in their run until it gets established. Otherwise they will eat all the sprouts and tear up that part of the lawn.

I am going to plant quinoa and carrots this weekend. Since the quinoa seeds are so tiny they recommend you mix them with carrot seeds for better distribution plus you get 2 crop in the same space.

Got the tomato seeds planted indoors and now I need to plant peppers.
