Why is it that we stage a war to bring peace?

Why do people who get enraged over the inhumane treatment of an animal do nothing when children are abused. Is there an organization called People for the Ethical Treatment of Children/Humans? How about Green Peace? All this time and effort to keep people from killing whales and no Green Peace around when they are killing babies?

Why do we pay our farmers to not grow food while paying other countries for the food they grow?

All oft considered conundrums....

Now I will attempt to answer yours and Bees SIMPLE questions.

Its ALL about the MONEY and getting names in the news.

No different than Christian Wars, Islam Wars, Muslem Wars. Somewhere someone is making big bucks to encourage others to die for, pay for, work for free for, THE CAUSE. Work them up in a big enough frenzy and they will KILL for the cause. The cause makes the news and more people choose sides and pour more money into the CAUSE.

How about this question. You went out to dinner with your wife and had 2 glasses of Wine. On the way home someone runs a stop sign and slams into you. You go to jail, loose your license, and get a DUI. Spend thousands of dollars on lawyers, and classes and are forced to attend alcohol abuse classes. They go home, have hot chocolate and nothing happens. Once it was discovered you had alcohol on your breath you were automatically at fault. Why ---- Its all about the money because MADD had a CAUSE.

Lordy, you two should not have gotten me so worked up this morning. I can rant for days on all those subjects.

I want apologize for going on a rant.... I had just woke up with a major headache and I am always a grouch in the morning anyway.

All those earth shattering questions just set me off. I still feel the same way but I probably should have kept it to myself.

I sure wonder about all the things you questioned also. THERE ARE SO MANY of those types of things to question.

for me, I guess it is people. People do strange things. People will do anything to make their views be heard....even if it contradicts their beliefs of what they are fighting for.

You will never win or have those questions answered when people are the main equation included.

Nature is balanced. People are not balanced. So we fight against it all.......I dunno know....alot of big ???? in this life!



And when ya see the new little baby that hasn't been tainted by our wonderful world yet, it sure brings up those types of feelings.....

Just wondering and not asking for any responses since this can turn ugly real fast. And remember, these are generalities.

Why is it that folks that oppose the death penalty support abortion?

I've often thought the same thing. Someone who has lived and done something horrid has at least had a chance. No such opportunity is offered to a baby eliminated by abortion. And I use the term 'baby' specifically. I do not accept the term 'fetus', that's used to take the person out of the baby, to render it nothing more than inconvenient tissue that can be removed without prejudice.

Why is it that anti-abortion activists are willing to resort to violence and possible death to promote right-to-life?

Another logic conundrum. Can't figure that one out, either. But they're nothing more than terrorists, anyone who uses terror to get their way is a terrorist in my book. Yes, I know that logic can be applied to people and countries we don't like it applied to. That's a whole 'nother rant!

Why do people, especially politicians, have to be partisan? Why can't they pick and choose what side to be on?

I think it's to give them the appearance of having a stance. Thing is we all know their stances can be bought, one way or another. Instead of truly standing for what they believe in they sell out to the highest influence - be that bidder or opinion. Cynical of me, I know, but it's being proven to me time and time again.

You're right, Dac, this can get ugly fast, and here I am participating. But you do know how to ask a question that provokes much thought!

Exciting day today, well, not really. It was just a typical day. A friend came over and helped cut wood and clean up some of the storm mess from last winter. Got a good start on next year's supply of wood. Now we just need to find some more dead stuff for this year. Yeah, I'm on top of things.

Went to town this morning to do some quick grocery shopping and look for a pair of unlined bib overalls and a medium weight work jacket. I have tons of jackets but they aren't work jackets except for one and it is heavy weight. I didn't find the bibs I wanted but did get a nice Carhartt jacket on sale. It worked great while cutting wood and driving the tractor.

I have Beaker, one of the Backyard Chicken mascots, visiting. He had a good time helping.




Oh, I forgot. My wife wants a chainsaw.

Don't blame her...I got my first one this year and I feel soooo much more powerful with the getting of it!
