Yes, I meant it that way about hurting the rocks. I have a kind heart! :love

...and the rocks have feelings, I don't want them hurting mine! :gig

I had one as a kid, I guess now you can say that I have 17 acres of pet rocks! :gig

Hmmm, I'm now wondering if the pet rock didn't start my rock-hounder habit. We didn't really have rocks in South Jersey, where I grew up at...just lots of sand, cedar swamps and huckleberries.

Moved to TN after I got out of the Army in '87 and fell in love with rocks there. Okay, I see a dull day, cool rock pic post in y'all's near future! :gig

 It's good that you are so considerate of the rocks feelings. With so many around- you probably shouldn't piss them off. :hide

There are some rocks in SJ, they're just few and far between-and not that large. I did have a pet rock as a kid-but not one from the store. I thought buying one was stupid when I could just find some poor, homeless rock outside and bring it in to the warm, shelter of my house. It was a very good rock. It never once tried to escape, peed in the house, or ate anything it shouldn't have.

Changing the subject a smidgen....you're gonna LOVE the Foxfire series!!!! I have about half of them :D I read them over and over, they're SO entertaining!!! Enjoy them :)

I used to hunt rocks when I was a kid, got out of the habit somewhat now. There are lots of cool rocks around here though. I should get back into it sometime, I kinda miss the walking around looking at the ground

Aside from my pet rock, most of the rocks around here would probably be classified as gravel or sand! On our property, it's rare to find anything larger than a quail egg! But there is a large "rock field" about 1000 yds down the ravine to the southeast of our place with a really interesting variety.

Well, I've got the Foxfire set coming!!! :celebrate Doc said to order them from Lehmans, so I did! :love It'll cost me a cigar order and I can live with that! ;)

Good visit at Mom's yesterday but I am sore today as we walked her fence-line and it's all up and down, hilly property (about 40 acres). We'll go back on Wednesday or Thursday with the chainsaw and do some clean-up work along the fence line for them.

Decided I'd get some garbage burned this afternoon since it's so wet here and I no sooner put a flame to the first bag only to have the wind start blowing like crazy. :barnie So, I gathered some of the small pots up and have them soaking so I can get seeds started.

Went to get some pix off the camera only to have the computer tell me that it doesn't recognize the USB device. :he Is it Monday already??? :hide
