Went shopping for groceries. Came home. DS3's barn cat is limping. Pick her up and find a big pussy puncture would on her shoulder. She looks rough. So we go to the vet clinic. She's dehydrated and has abscesses. :( She is hospitalized on IV fluids for the afternoon, started antibiotic and pain meds. She should be coming home this evening.

I was sick with something miserable GI yesterday. Over it today. Lost a couple pounds! :gig (silver linings, right?) I'm slow to get moving, have no appetite. oh well.

DS3 is interested in writing letters and reading words. He has picked up a couple more sight words. :love

Sheep shearing today. Shearer was just coming back from shoulder surgery in January and he was struggling. Very thankful he came out and got them done. DH and I trimmed hooves afterwards.

DH spread manure this morning and put a locator on his boat.

I'm off my feet as much as possible for a couple days. I have capsulitis in a toe joint because the toe next to it is "deformed" according to podiatrist. Custom orthotics and buying expensive shoes in my future. I am not happy. I HATE SHOES! :'(

I'm getting first African Violet buds. Also have thrips (bad insect infestation of African Violets) I believe they're isolated, but I moved the budding plant away to a different room. I really should disbud it to protect it from getting thrips infestation too. I need to buy some more chemicals, discard more plants -- I've already trashed half my collection! :'( Well, 'tis the season to buy new leaves from others to start over.
