Oh wow they haven’t started giving them here yet- next week I think? I’m having trouble convincing DH to let our 9 year old get it… we aren’t exposed as much as lots of people fortunately but cases are super high right now so it’s worrying.

My kids are at risk of "long COVID" a.k.a. post-viral dysautonomia. I've been very careful. DS14 has subclinical dysautonomia symptoms already (like I did as a teen). My health fell apart when I got virus (Epstein Barr a.k.a. mono) when I was 19. I've been disabled since. It has not been a fun time. Zero stars. Do not recommend.

COVID? meh. Dysautonomia? Scary stuff!

That is hard, sorry you and the family have to deal with this in daily life. I get it though, my DD7 has severe persistent asthma and is on 2 inhalers daily, so the vaccine was not so much an option for her but more of hopefully a lifesaver

DS6 didnt get vaccinated today. Got to Walgreens -45 miles away- and sign on the door says no same day COVID vx appointments even with confirmation number. 😠 They said to reschedule, but they eont schedule a 1st vx without also scheduling the second. No walgreebs within 100 miles has a second appointment so we cant get the first. 😠

I called the State vx hotline and they recommended walk-in at county health department. Go to county website and it says only ages 12+ 😠

State vx hotline says our clinic system. Clinic system's website landing page says ages 5+ are eligible and has link to scheduling page. Scheduling page says 5-11 are not eligible 😠

Not a great day.

DH got a flu vaccine and COVID booster today! Woot! Now need to get this kiddo vaccinated and back to school. We are very frustrated with the homeschooling situation. DS6 is stubbornly refusing to participate. Whatever, he's not behind on learning targets. The bigger problem is he makes messes for 8 hours per day when he would otherwise be in school. Nobody has time to clean up after him.

I am busily revising 4-H dog project curriculum and doing some quick graphic design. Calling it good enough. I didn't get as far as I had hoped today. Children being all childreny...
