This is great and interesting to hear! Your DS is funny :love Well, if you like sewing and are looking for staying busy, make quilts. I just finished one about a week ago, but mind you I hand stitch so we're talking very busy for a long time lol They are great fun to make though.

I like piecing the top of quilts. The rest... not so much! :D I might though. I'm frustrated with knitting. Too slow. Sewing creates faster results.

I don't know about "fast" lol It takes me months to complete one, but I do everything by hand. It's rewarding though, when it's done. I used to knit years ago and I learned to crochet, but just the very basics. I love sewing now though, but only quilts.

I've been sewing a lot this past week. I finished a corset - but it was just for fitting. I revised my pattern and am trying again! I just want one to wear! My ready-to-wear corset only fits when cinched too tightly, and otherwise bangs up my ribs. No fun! It's motivation to keep sewing and get my pattern completely fitted!

My serger is broken, so I won't be working on my other patterns soon. I hope to drop it off for repair next week.

This minute? not so great! I went shopping and errands in my hometown yesterday! Fun day! When I got home I forgot to bring my medication inside... and I'm nonfunctional now waiting to magically feel okay enough to go get my medication.... so.... :hide

I bought muslin fabric yesterday and started fitting a blazer I bought in high school. Still doesn't fit me! LOL! I've been saving it for **17 ** years to make another like it. I'm glad I waited until I had skills to fit it. I still love the design -wrap front with a tie instead of buttons.

I started cleaning my basement out. Seems to be annual winter project because I don't purge enough.

I'm also working toward major diet change toward high-fat-low-carb.

Uh oh! Will the meds be ok having been a 'little chilly' overnight???

We don't get this weather very often so the news stations reminded folks not to leave things in their vehicles....glad I listened because I had a partial 12 pack of canned root beer in my back seat that I know would not have survived the freeze last night!

If you get that blazer done please post a pic. I'm in awe of people who can create thigns like that. I can do basic sewing, but nothing creative or difficult.

Hope you feel better soon!

DH came home for lunch (as usual) and grabbed my meds, finished DS2's bath that I'd started as a way to contain and entertain him, fed DS2. :love I'd be lost without him. I should be functional within an hour. Maybe half. IDK, I haven't timed how long it takes to work, I just notice that I'm doing normal-people stuff awhile after I've taken it.

I can't how many times I've left baby wipes in the car and they've frozen solid! :gig

We are getting warm weather. 24 today, 34 tomorrow, and then 40 on Friday! Then normal 20's temps for the rest of the 10-day forecast. I don't mind 20's. As long as I can stay inside most the time!

I was going to shop today, but I'm hoping to work on my blazer. As soon as I'm functional enough to do stairs safely. My sewing machines are in the basement. I dropped my serger off for repair yesterday, so I'm a bit limited on sewing projects for now. Good time to finish fitting the blazer.

DH is looking at buying a 480 sq ft house for a rental. OMG, I want it! Like, I want to live there. uh, by myself, I guess. :gig. I'll come visit my kids and sheep on the weekends? :gig I'm fantasizing about an easy clean, quiet minimalist life. I miss my old house. It was 660 sq ft, except I didn't use 2 rooms, so really was more like 450 or 500. Great floor plan, could have 3 adults there comfortably. or 2 adults, 2 kids (and 3 dogs, 4 chickens, 6 rabbits, and a goat....). o_O  :hide
