Okay, so since we're doing a non-traditional dinner tomorrow, we've decided to do non-traditional desserts :) My sis is bringing a cheesecake, but I'd like to have one more dessert. And I have no clue what to fix.

So, ideas? :fl

thanks!

well, pick the base ingredient and we'll all help from there ;)

chocolate? cheese? fruit?

are you looking at something pie like, or candy like?

A super quick and easy: get puff pastry. cut into squares. lay each square in a muffin tin, fill. with anything (sweet or savory. fruit, pudding, chocolate, stew, whatever) and bake until golden.

Not fruit. Pie is fine, but not apple, pumpkin, or pecan (too traditional ;) ). Chocolate is ALWAYS good!

The puff pastry idea thing is cool. Cookies could work - just not traditional Christmas cookies. Maybe PB cookies w/ the Hershey kiss in them?

Thanks, y'all!

I just added bacon truffles to the list for my baking day with nieces.

crumbles bacon and ganache. roll into balls. dip into dark chocolate. garnash with bacon.

:drool :drool :drool

I decided on Oreo Balls:

1 package Oreo's
8 oz cream cheese, softened
melted chocolate (chips, kisses, something)

smush oreo's and combine with cream cheese
roll into quarter sized balls and place on wax paper lined cookie sheet
freeze for about 15 minutes
dip in melted chocolate
let set and Enjoy!!!

hmmmm ... maybe they need a bacon garnish?
