Dog peeing in the house!

If he is smelling urine from a previous dog I would give him barrel #2 of my puppy condiment solution. Finely ground black pepper!!

If he is going in the same spots over and over simply pepper the spot very liberally and leave it there. When they go back to sniff the spot again - POW black pepper up BOTH nostrils!! That usually does tend to dissuade them.

I also vote for crate training at night, but I personally really have a hard time with crating a dog for long periods of time, like when people go to work. Better to build them a safe pen outdoors.

Pepper huh?

He sleeps in the laundry now....last night I put him to bed a 9. At about 6:15 I took him out to go potty.....he just stands around. Then the game begins.

I say 'Go Potty" He just looks at me wagging his little tail.

'Go Potty!' wag wag wag

'Go Potty Ted.' wag wag wag

'Dang it, would you just pee already?' wag wag wag

'Harummph! Fine stay out here by yourself!' wag wag wag *door slams shut*

bark ...........

bark............

'damnit'

bark...........

*door opens*

Clearly we are having communication problems, maybe we need counseling.

But the good news is that as long as I keep him from peeing inside at night, it's all good. He hasn't gone inside during the day at all.
