Just got back from the Willow 100 Junior Mushers Race.
10 teams this year, are racing 110 miles. The mushers are in there teens, and most if not all, have their eyes on running the Iditarod when they are ready and can qualify.
They have a ten hour layover up in Hatcher's Pass, and then they will turn around and head back the way they went up.
I'm loading up pictures right now, and will add them as soon as they are ready!

It takes lots of people and as many as 3 brakes to hold the team steady at the start.

Even when its 40 below? ;)
Definitely! I thrive in the cold...........
Just so you know, when its 40 below, your nose hairs freeze solid as soon as you step outside.
The rest of your nose follows seconds later :p
