Boy, it really helps that you were there once already and know the area somewhat.
I am hoping that one of these two steps up and gives an offer.:fl
Maybe a bidding war will ensue! :hide

That is kinda what I'm thinking may happen, if our tenants want the place and need to wait for the loan(s)… the possible at the end of the month. What if both offer? I spoke to DH this morning and asked him what we're going to do about this and he has no idea. We'll have to see who comes up with the money first if they are both interested. Now that would be ironic, if after waiting for a buyer for so long, we end up with two!

They could make the house into a duplex, and they could both live there. :D

@sumi, I'd want to put in a horse pasture and I sure don't want to chance the electric company coming on and accidentally letting the horses out. If the wires were on the side, it wouldn't be a problem. But the wires go thru the center of the property.

Money talks! The first one with the money is the winner. If you wait on one of them to get the loan and it falls through, you miss the buyer with cash.

@Denim Deb, with 2 flats and the main house AND the worker's cottage here, there is plenty space for them all ;) That's a pity about the wires though... I don't suppose you can find out about their right of way, how often the company visit, etc? Are there other similar properties in this price range that you found?

No news, yet… I did find a place I've earmarked some time ago re-listed on Daft though :) This is an old listing from another, the price have since dropped to e35,000 This is the only listing of the bunch with more than one pic of the property though:

http://www.myhome.ie/residential/brochure/caher-kielduff-tralee-co-kerry/2150418

The listings are confusing though. One say the property is 3.5 acres, another 4.5 acres. They are also undecided about the number of bedrooms, one says 2, another 3. But the land looks great and it's in one nice, even shaped plot. Some I've seen are very odd shaped, one had 2 acres in a mile long thin strip running along the roadside lol. I'm waiting out the tenants and the lady coming on the 28th and as soon as we have a confirmed sale I'm going to contact this agent, or the owner of this property and get some more info. The property has been for sale for a long, long time. The above listing is more than 2 years old, so they'd probably be interested in negotiating.

I haven't really looked. I've never heard back from the agent. He was supposed to look into all of that and get back to me. He wasn't the listing agent. When I looked, it had a different agent listed.

I like the looks from that property. It's nice an open. As for that mile long strip, you could grow spaghetti. :D

Our tenant popped in quick yesterday. He said his son is here now and is "crazy about the place". They definitely want to buy it. His son can only apply for a loan in January and has to wait until February to hear if it's been approved though. In the meantime his (tenant's) wife also applied for a loan for about 3/4 of the asking price. I warned him that we have a potential cash buyer coming on the 28th. So now we wait and see what they (and the 28th) wants to do...
