We just got in from the babies. One was having a difficult time suckling so I helped her (him?) latch on. Momma had one side that was drained and that is the side he was going for. I guided him to the other side and put it in his mouth. I think it was difficult at first b/c she was so full, but after a bit he got it.
i gotta tell ya. The sounds, the little tail wagging, it was amazing. And when he was done, his little belly was full, and we felt good about leaving them for the night.
All umbilical cords were dunked, and I believe dd got the hooves too, since we had the betadine out anyways. Fresh straw in their manger, fresh hay in their stall, and grain in Duchess's and Dolly's bellies, they are all bedded down for the night.
Oh, you wanted pics? Well, dd's batteries died while taking pics. We'rem waiting for them to charge so we can download the pics to the puter. patience, please![Smile :) :)](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
