My ears itch horribly all the time and they drain. The pressure gets so bad they give me headaches. This has been going on for years. The doctor gave me some drops that helped but it didn't cure it. Any ideas?

Sounds like you need a parasite cleanse. You might also try putting a little onion juice in there...just a drop or two in each ear. Around here, when anyone complains of any ear problems, we pull out an onion and scrape the juice out with a spoon.

But itchy ears are most often a sign of parasites

I would go to an ear specialist seriously.

it could be signs of other trouble etc.

find the Dr. that works ONLY on ears....then the expertise kicks in and you might find great help. That is what I would do. I go to the exact Dr. I need when something just isn't right.

hope you feel better soon!!!

What other symptoms do you have? Are your ears red & inflamed? Is the drainage clear, bloody, milky, greenish?
Its clear, sometimes yellow. They don't drain all the time. When they start itching like crazy i use a q tip and that makes them stop. This has been going on since i has like 7 and im 22 now. Im going nuts.

Okay, stop sticking q-tips in your ear. I know it feels good, but I know two people who have perforated their eardrum with them. Perforated eardrums are a reason for drainage too.

I would try morel's suggestion with the onion juice. You can also buy onion juice. Also, diluted white vinegar may help.

This may be an infection (doubtful in that it hasn't spread or gotten very severe with swollen ears & all), a parasite condition or you may be draining ear wax. Some people produce a lot more than others.

Did your dr. test the drainage?

Is there an odor? Do your ears ever get dry and scalely?

No odor or dryness. I don't think he tested it. I'm really careful with the q tips. If i don't use them the pressure builds until i have a awful headache. Whats really weird is the ear channel is different sizes during the day. I don't know if that's normal or not. I clean them in the morning and sometimes you couldn't get a q tip in them other times they feel huge. I think they might be swollen at times? Could a food allergy be possible?
