Egg candler?

Anyone ever make an egg candler? Last year, I just tried to use a very bright, small flashlight and didn't do a very good job. I'd love to make an egg candler, but don't have any idea how to. Has anyone made one?

You have to get a good seal around the shell to get a good candling. That's why the rubber tip on the Mini Mag Lite is required. It sucks without it. It's the only one I've found that has a perfect concave rubber tip for the egg to sit in perfectly.

Where did you buy it? I tried looking on line to find what you were talking about, and had no luck.

I got it at Lowe's..there is a package of the LED bulb, with the black rubber tip, and I think a little light holster to go on your belt came in the same package. It is actually a Mini Mag LED conversion kit I think it was, I already had the Mag Lite. Try to look up the conversion kit maybe I'll look too.

I'll have to look next time I near a store. Wonder if they'd have it in Bass Pro Shop. We're planning to stop in there on our way to the Expo this weekend.

I would think they would, definately worth a look.
