I don't need hundreds of them but I have eggs coming out my ears and need to sell some. Where do you all get your egg cartons from? The cheapest I can find them is Meyers and they are still 39 cents apiece.

Eggcartons.com I can get a case of 250 seconds(preprinted with someone else's logo and info) for around $50 S&H included. I know that is not cheaper but it feels good to have a case of cartons sitting ready to fill instead of hoping I can get some a little at time from friends and family.

AND, if you are like me....as soon as you buy a huge amount of cartons, everyone wants to give you a bunch....so, by pure Murphy's Law, it works out to be cheaper per carton! ;) :D

And also, have your repeat coustomers bring back their cartons. My mom did that if they brought their own cartons back she knocked 15 cents off the price. (Lots of folks just brought in a basket! Most of the fridges back then had egg holders built into the door of the fridge.) :)

I bought from eggcarton.com as well. the more misprints you buy the cheaper they are. Last time I bought 100. This year I bought 300. I figure I will use them eventually.

And yes Bee, right after I bought them I started having them returned from friends. :idunno

Our hens aren't laying yet, but we have a couple of grocery bags FULL of egg cartons!
We have just been saving the ones we buy, plus both of my sisters save their cartons for us, and we have cartons coming out our ears.....
and no eggs.

Ask neighbors, friends, relatives, co-workers, etc to save their egg cartons for you. That is what we did; now we have more than we will ever need. We give a lot of eggs away to people so I guess that also motivates them to save the cartons for us.

We get them from friends, family and customers. No discount for returned cartons, just a warm, rosy feeling for doing the right thing and saving them from the landfill :)

We have to ring our garbage/recyclables to a depot. they always have a huge box of egg cartons there. I asked the lady working there, and she said--Take them all!! so I did. I shoud be good for about a year.

Ain't that the truth - I bought 250 from eggcartons.com (free shipping weekend) and they have dozens of them at the bee club, free for the taking. :he

And miss_thenorth, that's a score! :thumbsup

I reuse ones given to me by friends and family. I also have family that get from their friends at their work places. They have other peoples logos ect on them but I cover them with painters or masking tape and hand write my info over them. Not only are they free / I swap eggs to get the cartons. But I feel good reusing cartons that other wise would most likely just find their way too the trash.
