does anybody else watch the history channel's show Americas book of secrets? I watched one the other day that made me wonder. is the government tracking all of us preppers? Are they counting on using us and our supplies? Not hard to track and ip address if you know what you are doing.... Just a thought

We don't have television reception, but I know a lot of people are nervous about that. It's why some people hide at least some of their preps in out of the way places.

Well my DW found out her foot is really broken. Seeing a specialist on Thursday to discuss surgery and a pin being inserted.

Oh dear. I'm so sorry for her, and for you- you will have the extra work of taking care of her as well as all your usual work. I've been in that position this summer as well; the ligaments in DH's arm tore and separated- he had to have surgery and pins also. He has been out of work since June 30, but the pins are out and it looks like he will start physical therapy next month.

Sorry for your DW. What happened? I don't recall reading anything about her foot.

I hadn't mentioned it because we didn't think it was that bad... She kicked the bed frame in the middle of the night. She didn't think it was that bad so she did not get it checked out. Well she finally went in and they did an x-ray. the break goes down to the joint and the bones have started to heal incorrectly. They have to break it again and pin it. Well that is what the gp doctor thinks, see what the specialist thinks.

Sounds exactly like what happened to my DH's hand Thankfully, the hand surgeon decided NOT to re-break. He has to wear a splint for awhile and then go through a bunch of rehab.

Really hope it works out well for your wife.

Well i am back after a long long absence. Life was a bit rough for us but things are heading in a mostly good direction now. My wife is now 2 years after open heart surgery. Almost lost her but thanks to amazing drs i still have her. We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary in April.
To make a long story short we ended up in oregon and her heart surgery kept us here and changed the direction we were headed.
Ended up homeless for a bit.
Va finally agreed i am partially disabled from my service!! Woohoo!
And recently have bought 16 acres in southern kentucky. Raw land.
Moving at end of July to start homesteading it.
Wanted to be there sooner but heart dr wants to see her one more time before we move.
