You must have been very good at it Dace......cause I spent more than a few hrs a week when I went "whole hog" into coupons. I would spend like 5-6 hrs. trying to compile everything I needed and all that mess and then wait for store flyers etc. and still confused myself 
at least it seemed to me to be very time consuming....jack rabbits like you are lucky...LOL...and sitting at the 'puter checking grocery sales and sitting at the table cutting coupons and searching flyers GOT ON MY NERVES....lol
but yes I save alot of money with coupons and store sales, but never to this level. I do well for what effort I give it.
when I buy "what if people stop buy and want to eat this" product---it always goes bad.....if people stop in they eat what I have..LOL----of course I don't get many stopovers for food.
Maybe the name of the game of this coupon thing is to get ALL your pantry and freezers stocked. Then when the shopping list is smaller--you can give it time to search for what you need and tackle the savings big time?
Smaller grocery trips I save more money. Big shops when I don't go often mean I am ill and don't care cause I got ALOT of shopping to do..HA HA
