Union and Morehouse parishes got beat up by tornadoes (won't know how bad until morning), but over all, Louisiana has been spared from the likes of Alabama and Missouri. We gumbo eaters hope all ya'll citybiddies stay safe. I'm surfing for football equipment, bomb shelters, motorcycle helmets, etc.
You better keep an eye on that Sage dog of yours. I might just come borrow him for a while.
Good to hear your relationship with D2 is going better and that she knows well enough to call in a serious situation. Especially if it's her health. I know you have been working on this one for a while.
Emotional stress sometimes tires me more than physical. Just take it easy for a day, or better yet play in the dirt.
I'm sure the issue with your daughter is a relief. It is very hard to be estranged from our children. Very weird feeling. It sounds like you have more than enough to keep you busy.
Did the price of chicken food go up for you? We have seen a huge jump here in all the bagged feeds.
I had to switch feed stores last week. Mine was up to over 18 bucks a bag and my city tax is just over 10 percent.
I drove 20 minutes to a neighboring community where my sil has her ranch. I paid 13 and change.
I ended up buying 11 bags of various grains and lay feed. I figured I may as well stock up while I am there. Each bag was about 5 dollars less than normal.
And wouldn't you know I got the last bag of wheat.
Feed prices are up around here too. At times, I'm tempted to not give the horses any grain over the summer, but I don't really give them that much, plus Stormy needs it. I have a hard enough time getting and keeping weight on him. If I had several acres of grassy pasture, it would be different, but I don't have that option at this point in time.
