FDA agents engage in name-dropping of others in the raw dairy community in order to imply trust. In California, for example, they might say, I spoke with Mark McAfee at Organic Pastures, and he told me to talk to you. This technique impresses the target, thinking they have been recommended by a big name in the raw dairy industry. In reality, the whole story is fiction and is just used by FDA spies to try to ensnare other raw dairy producers.
This one doesn't make sense to me since raw milk is legal in California, unless they're targeting people selling raw milk without being properly licensed/inspected/whatever.

Please forgive me for being preachy for a moment here, but I encourage you all to contact (1) your local raw milk advocacy group, and (2) your state representatives. If you're in the U.S., your state determines whether raw milk may be sold legally within state lines. Unless you sell raw milk for animal consumption and need to stay under the radar, please consider being vocal about this issue and working to get the laws changed.
CA, regardless of laws, has already raided two legal dairies.

Which ones? I have not been keeping up on the news on this topic lately.

Regarding Rawsome, the issue there was with licenses, repackaging non-organic food as organic, etc., not the fact that raw dairy is being sold there. Raw milk is available right on the shelf in most health food stores here, and private places like Organic Pastures sell it openly.

I do know that. The farmer was arrested for selling raw milk though. The herd share does not require the license they are pushing for, so that dairy was in compliance with the law.
Another was raided just a few weeks prior. I'll need to go back and find the name of it though.

the drug dealers weaken a society that might be inclined to think for themselves- something the government really doesn't want
Bingo!

As for places that raw milk is legal, they are still getting harassed. Laws are "reinterpreted" on a regular basis to make it almost impossible to turn a profit. That is happening in Colorado right now. It does appear that agencies are involved in an organized effort to harass legal raw dairies out of business.

Yep -- looks like they are cracking down on herd shares in California. :barnie

All I hear about, from the local school district up to the federal level, is how everyone is BROKE. Brokebrokebroke.

So, here is a non-comprehensive list of wars I want to end, for both ethical and financial reasons:

-Iraq
-Afghanistan
-War on Drugs
-War on Raw Milk/Real Food

There, that's my platform. Vote for me.
