WM locally has eggs up to $5.79 dz -- their store brand. That's up from $4.63 maybe a week ago. Empty shelves day I saw lesser prices. Not as bad as some areas. $6.35 @ DGen.

I'm thanking my girls each day they lay 🥰 well, my kids should because they're ones eating them :old

One store has Boston butt @99 and another has split chicken breasts @99 starting 2 days later. I'll stock up on both at that price. 👍. I've been so good at eating out of freezer for 3 months, so stock up time!

Can't find much of any meats at this price. 😳
And here I thought I was doing good to find pork shoulder for $1.79/#!

so, err, almost four years later you can still find food for prices you can afford, aka, not the end of the world as we knew it...

Maybe not the end of the world, but higher prices sure hurt. Especially for other people who don’t have the resources that we do.

True. There are many who do not have income for these increases. Some who adjust what & how much they buy to afford things like soap & TP. 😵‍💫

Some won't supplement with a garden. Others don't because of restrictions -- location &/or health, ability -- even area of country where they live. It can be a choice or uncontrollable circumstances.

No matter why we watch prices, I find it interesting to watch trends & causes. For me, I've seen the total adjustment of income & pricing run the gamut. I've been in the work force 60+ years. :old 🥴
