For Southern Gardeners: Book Recommendation

I'm going to write a gardening book for Colorado. It will be one page long and say "yeah, good luck with that!".

Well, maybe you can fill it out with lots and lots of illustrations... so they buyer feels like they're getting their money's worth!

Oooh, good idea! Lots of pictures of dead & dying plants, dry bare ground, etc. Lovely!

Hail damage, squirrel damage, flea.beetle damage, drought stress, sun scald, late spring frost, early fall snow, powdery mildew, sow bugs eating anything that does manage to ripen.... yeah, I can fill a big picture book.

This might be useful for folks growing gardens in the South: http://www.ctahr.hawaii.edu/site/ It's from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and they are pretty good at tropical agriculture. The site is kinda tricky to navigate, but there's tons of information there.
