When I next "up grade" my cell phone I want a GRANNY phone! One that does NOTHING but make calls, has a LOUD ringer, adjustable volume and big old buttons. I have a phone now that does lots of stuff, but I can't work it or see the buttons or hear the people on the other end talking! :barnie

If I want a picture I'll use my digital camera.

I have a blackberry and I use it to instant upload photos to facebook. The mp on the camera aren't that great, but it is handy. Here is a photo I took of a monster egg I got from one of the ducks yesterday...

That is a QUARTER in the photo along with a quail egg and a regular duck egg. That monster egg is over 3" long.

Well, e-mailing myself pictures would be nice, but I don't know how to set up e-mail on the phone. It lets me get the internet, but I don't know how to make it find my e-mail address. My daughter probably has to come visit and show me. :p

Farmfresh- we were talking about that at work the other day. One of my co-workers was showing off her Jitterbug phone and we were all jealous.

Wow that is QUITE an egg!

Is it really heavy as well? When I was judging for 4-H we had a member enter "the most unusual" egg competition with a huge duck egg like that. It was an egg inside of an egg inside of an egg! There were three shells! The center egg had a yolk, but the outer eggs had contained only albumin. Guess what - she won!

All of that sounds so easy. My GEEK son gives me "how to use my phone" instructions all of the time. My problem is I can't see the blinking keys, nor understand the stinking menu prompts. It is BAD getting old and senile! :/

I do hate having to get out my reading glasses to use the phone.

Hahaha..farmfresh, that reminds me of a funny incident last year. DD was driving us home from Alabama after Thanksgiving, and one of her friends texted "Happy Thanksgiving" to her. Since she was driving, she asked me to text back to her friend. Well, it turns out her phone was set up to extrapolate from what you start texting, and wouldn't let me text "Happy Thanksgiving" back to her friend. It kept writing things like "hand" and "happening" and "hazard" and wouldn't let me go any further. I was laughing so hard i couldn't see, although I could imagine DD's eyes rolling as she considered what a goofball mom she has who can't even text a simple message. I kinda like the old and senile excuse!

:gig Thats when the phone is set for predictive texting, it realy does make it easier to type a message, once you're used to it.
