Ok, lots of dust needs to settle and there are a few bugs we're squishing, but most of the updates are now here on SS!!!

:woot :ya

If you notice anything broken or weird, please report it here. The more details the better including:

1) The EXACT error message you get
2) Exact steps and links you followed before the error or problem

Thanks!
OK, I sent a PM on this but have more information.
I go to My Page
I click on edit
Then I click on the icon that says "insert/edit image"
When I get the screen I hit the "browse" button and then I get "error on page" in the lower right corner. Of course nothing happens after this despite the fact that I copied the URL for the image and the image description. Here is a copy of each so you can try this or tell me what I am doing wrong.

You should see a pic of a guy standing on a JD tractor in front of a shed with PV's on it which appears when I hit "preview" on this note...go figure!

Hope this helps.

what browser / version are you on?

I copied the pics above (highlight, copy) then went into your page and did "paste" and save it. Worked for me. :)

Maybe you have a browser that isn't friendly with the editor?

Is there something that can be done to improve the search feature?

If I know the subject, the author, and the section of the forum I want to search, giving me 144 or 200 pages to search is really not helpful unless I have nothing better to do with my time.

The search is more powerful than you think. Give us examples of what you are searching for and what you are expecting and I'll bet there is a way to find it.

There's never been a time where I know "the subject, the author, and the section of the forum I want to search" and not find the result on the first page.

I know what she means! One time I was looking to find where I wrote a laundry soap recipe, not wanting to type it again. There seemed to be no way of finding it short of reading about five journals. It was smart enough to know the correct threads, but not displaying the page numbers made it too hard to pin down where to look.

That's what I was wondering. For example, I know I'm searching for something on say OFG's journal, the search tells me that's the thread but then as far as I know, it's up to me to look through the 700+ pages to find the reference. Another forum I'm on brings up the page and puts the search terms in bold to make it easier to find. I thought this was one of the upgrades we were getting but I haven't searched for anything lately.

Like most things of value, searching is a skill and with practice, peeps can get really good at finding things really quickly (that example, it took me about two minutes).

For your example, here is what I did:

Clicked the search: http://www.sufficientself.com/forum/search.php
entered the following into "Keyword search": laundry soap recipe
Author search: savingdogs
Show results as: posts

I believe it was on the first page or results. Easy peasy!

Had I known any parts of the recipe, I could probably have narrowed down the search to 2 - 3 results.

For example, since you knew you wrote it and that it had the keywords: "Mule Team Borax" I can do all the search settings above, but keywords would be:

laundry soap recipe Mule Team Borax

There was only ONE RESULT! A direct link to your post.
