Last Saturday I had a little time, so I stopped at the bank parking lot where I had been watching a large pecan tree. Sure enough the lot was covered with pecans, a lot of them run over and mashed. They were native pecans, so maybe no one wanted them because they are small and stinkers to shell. I picked up about 1 1/2 gallons of pecans. I shelled them while watching TV this week and now have 1 1/2 quart zip lock bags of tasty, free pecans in the freezer. Yummy
