Free Pecans

Aren't hazelnuts on bushes? The wild ones are, at least...

I think it depends on the variety, but from what I've read they get to be 8-15 feet tall. I tried to grow some that I got from the Arbor Day foundation, but they all kept dying. I don't think I had the right kind of soil. I do well with fruits though: strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, apples and pears.

Wow, one of the many things I miss about the DW's dad now living in NC with her brother. His last home had 4 large pecan trees. Enjoy the bonanza!
