Excellent! The cream statement is from the original recipe, I used yogurt and let it sit for a few hours while I made the salad & chilled on the couch, I just wasn't sure if that would be sufficient.

The yogurt gave them a great tangy flavor that I doubt cream or milk would duplicate.

I also added some garlic powder. Yummy

Kefir cream? Hmmmmm.... :)

Freemotion, I made your crackers and I *love* them.
And I dunno what you meant about not being crackers you can just eat plain. I totally could.

You folks have inspired me to try something new with both wheat and the Mesa flour I get to do tortillas. Mmmmmm!

Probably not tonight though, I have 4 loaves of bread rising and a biga brewing. Then again, the oven is on anyway......

Occamstazer, glad you like them! I used to be able to gobble down a whole box of wheat thins or cheezits in a sitting....these are not as tempting to me as those cookies masquerading as crackers were. Good thing, too. My hips would expland!

abc, let us know how they turn out!

I still haven't made the cheese crackers, but really want to....Maybe tomorrow I'll mix the dough and bake them Monday when it snows or sleets or whatever it does here. Soup and crackers. Mmmmmm!

Freemotion- I made these today and they were great! Thanks for the recipe. I used 2 cups ground wheat, 1 cup white flour and melted butter for the fat. Taste like Wheat Thins!
