is that rye grass an annual or perennial?
Annual

It's a start. It's filling in around the pond edges also. I had terrible visions that all that mud we dug out of the hole in the ground might melt right back into it with a hard rain. The roots should really help stabilize that....whew!

Have to be at the surgical center at 8:30. Terrible night last night, ugh. DH's blood sugar dropped and he had to have some juice and a power bar at around 1:30am. The problem with that is he was supposed to have nothing after midnight. Hope they don't cancel surgery because of that. And, if that wasn't bad enough he went low again a couple hours later. He's like....what the heck do I do if I'm not supposed to eat/drink anything? My mumbled response was "turn off the bleeping insulin pump." Done.

Next problem is that his pump doesn't think it should be turned off so it constantly reminds you to turn it back on. Also, it really doesn't like that his blood sugar is below the "safe" setting so it alarmed...all...night...long. My sweet husband has developed the ability to sleep right through his pump alarms (DANGER!) but I have not. So, while he was in the land of nod I was up and checking his sugar readings on his phone. Sleep, for me, wasn't going to happen. I gave up and rolled outta the bed around 5.

Is there enough coffee in the world to get through this day?

Surgery was 13 minutes long and went well. Unfortunately recovery did not go well. Dh’s heart rate tanked and they couldn’t get a pulse so they initiated CPR. They did it for 6 minutes and intubated him.

Thank goodness he came around quickly. It could have been so much worse. We got transferred to the heart hospital across the street where he will stay overnight (at least) for observation.

WTH???
