Can y'all just see the look of total relaxation on my face this morning??? I had some hot tub time last night! Now-it's not totally ready for soaking, but we cheated a little bit cuz as soon as that thermometer read 99 degrees we was IN it, lol. I was worried about DH getting in and out but he did pretty good. My biggest fear was that he wod slip and hit his side on the edge of the tub and break his ribs even more. So glad that didn't happen!
we finally have an explanation of why he's still having problems with his left side. He's got what is called a 'slipped rib' on that side....as if the 7 broken ribs on the other side weren't enough. It just means that rib slips in and out of place-so painful when it happens and it happens just about every time he breathes. I can even hear it click and if I put my hand on his chest I can feel it pop....yuck!
I'm going to make him an appt with an ortho guy and see what his advice is. From the research I've done it doesn't sound good... Not life threatening, but surely screws up the quality of life. He can't really use the arm on that side because it pulls on those muscles and pops that rib out of place. My poor DH. He didn't need this on top of his other health challenges...
I got a little more area in the small garden cleaned up and planted a lettuce mix and started some more napa cabbage and broccoli plants.
Having retirement dreams lately-but have at least 5 more years...unless win the lottery!
