They really do well together - but this is twice now that he's stopped her from herding....and she doesn't really have any choice when he says "no" cuz he outweighs her by probably 60-70 lbs! But, I've gotta say this gal does NOT give up.. she is tenacious. There is nothing that Gracie loves doing more than working the stock. I was doing copper blousing over my Christmas break and was working out in the barn. The barn basically has an open front. I had blocked most of it off but there was still an opening where the goats could run out. Not with Gracie guarding that opening! She held those goats in the barn and on the one occasion that a goat got past her - she ran her back in. Sometimes I really think she can read my mind!

DH is worried about the surgery.. and who wouldn't be? It's hard thinking about somebody sucking out the contents of your eyeball. Poor baby! I will be so glad when tomorrow is in our rearview mirror!

We have some LGDs and border collies in the university sheep unit, and they are AMAZING to watch!!! Makes me want sheep...

I'll be praying for your husband!

Thanks y'all! Made it to the surgical center through Houston rush hour traffic, which is the opposite of rushing! Got the paperwork done and are just waiting now....
