Bring her! They are 10(b), 9(g), and 5(g). But, the 5 year old is at her dad's for her long summer visit :(. I'll see her next weekend when I take the kiddos back though!!

So, tonight while we're feeding DH stepped on a nail. Brittle diabetics and foot wounds do NOT go together. What did I do? Being a non-nurse lay person I rummaged and found some antibiotics that I had acquired. He, the RN, was so freaked out over this nail wound that he took bootleg antibiotics, lol. It's not really funny and I've suggested if there's ANY redness or swelling tomorrow that he go to an urgent care and get it looked at. Of course, I won't be here because I'll be on my way to acquire GRANDS!!!! YAY! I'm not excited... at all. ;)

Oh dear... Bootleg antibiotics... I think a doctor wouldn't be a terrible idea! Hope he's alright.

Yay on going to get the grandkids!

Oh dear... Bootleg antibiotics...

I know... :( But, they were duly acquired from a REAL doctor - just not prescribed for DH! We had an international student worker this summer who came down with strep... unfortunately, she didn't realize the importance of taking all of her antibiotics...in fact she only took about 4 of them....and then she left them in the office when she went back home to Nepal. Soooo, while cleaning out her office I snagged 'em. Ya never know when summpin' like that will come in handy! So, we were saved from a trip to the ER tonight.

how is DH's foot? if he is to stubborn to go to the doc if needed then drag his hinder there. but if he and the bootleg antibiotics are doing ok then just have fun with the grands. I hope youall won't be upset if I don't come for the grand party but my only grand child is 23 not and she isn't much fun anymore so i'm gonna take a pass.

I swear - just gone for a day or so and I ended up on the second page :(

He says his foot is 'better' but he's still a little gimpy on it. Not red, not swollen, just sore - so I think it'll be ok. He does heal pretty well for such a brittle diabetic.

GOT THE GRANDS!!! Woo hoo! Didn't do much after getting home yesterday except lay around for a few hours. Of course, it rained while I was gone... Last week it was dry, dry, dry out back - and now ya have to go through a mud marathon to get to the critters. DGD hasn't even been outside - and DGS is loving the mud, lol!

Had a neighbor from a few houses down come by yesterday and ask if I was missing a goat? HUH?? I asked her what it looked like and she said "ugly" - nope - not mine, lol! It has horns too so definitely not mine. I told her congrats on a free goat and she said "not a free goat - a free meal" if nobody claims it soon!

Rain possible this afternoon again...in fact, rain possible every single day this week. UGH! We're going to try to get to my sons house for a swim later today - if the weather cooperates.

We were feeding the pigs yesterday afternoon and DGS asked where the other boar was... I told him that the boar lives in the freezer now. Next he asked when we were going to eat some dead pig, lol! Dead pig chops are now thawing out for dinner tonight. :)
