Yuck FEM! That's still too warm (although with low humidity, it's not as bad.) But how do you get such a high heat index if the humidity is that low?
Today was a beautiful day, low 80's slight breeze, low humidity. I don't know what the night temps have been, but our windows are open, ceiling fans on, and we added a quilt to the bed for the cool temps during the night. SUCH good sleeping weather!! :)

We've had to turn on the boiler at night! 35 here tonight, then 80 by Wednesday. Yo-yo weather for sure! Not envious of 95 though. Yuck!

Heck if I know, lol! That's what my little at home weather station says and since I never really believe it - I double check it with an online chart.

I have new mouths to feed! Yay??? They are supposed to be DH's project so we'll see how long that lasts. We have 7 new quail....wanted a few more but took what I could get. Got them late this afternoon and already have two eggs. I'll probably start incubating as soon as I get a good supply of eggs. No sure if the move will disturb their egg making or not - we will see.

Checked eyelids today and everybody I checked looked good or were improving from the last check. I'm pretty ok with that.

Well....I witnessed a breeding today... now I'm waiting 11ish days to administer a shot of lutalyse. 'Nuff said. Ugh.

Got the elders bathed and spiffied up a bit. DH helped bad bathe - dad wasn't happy. I trimmed his nails - he wasn't happy. But he enjoyed lunch and dinner, lol.

Woke to 52 this AM...got to 75ish late day. It's 54 now & supposed to hit 48 by 6AM. Brrrr. At least no A/C for past week. Soon I'll get it packed up for the year. Windows open all day, nice...had to close them about an hr ago as it was getting too chilly inside! Have a day off tomorrow and thrilled. Worked last 8, including today.

Haven't had rain so, able to work some needed things. Wed I will be off and plan to put up some fence where I'm tearing it out tomorrow. Never a day a fence isn't on a list. Need to get to work on a little winter shed for a buck soon. Real soon. With all the crappy weather across "everywhere" I do worry about my own little spot and severe cold & snow. Been very decent last couple years so "we're due", as they say. Such a PITA to trudge around for ice breaking and hauling hot water!! But -- my choice & responsibility. It gets done. But I don't have to like it. :hu

Brrrrr.... I'll take my weather for another couple months not to have to deal with cold! But 75ish - I could do that too!

Yep fencing is always an issue. My bucks are in a pen made of stock panels. I had the bottom of them lined with welded wire so itty bitty goats couldn't walk right through them. Pigs made short work of the welded wire just by rooting around close to the stock panels. UGH!

Sooooo, little nigi doeling walks right into the buck pen to share their feed - she ended up sharing a lot more than that. Think 20 lb nigi doeling and 120lb Kinder buck. Nope - not gonna happen! I wouldn't have even thought he could get down that low...but he did.

Eek! Yeah, not a good plan! How rude of him! Good thing you saw it happen so you can deal with it now, rather than later
