DH calls days like that 'back to bed days' - he says he should've climbed right back in bed as soon as he got up, and called the whole thing off :p

Ahhh, thanks ya'll!

Today was a whole new day - no major catastrophies. We were short-handed at work, so I kept busy and the day passed quickly. I love my job, but sometimes I wish I were a stay-at-home-farmer. I could get soooooo much accomplished!

DH is out of town tonight. I miss him, but no cooking almost makes up for it, lol. One of my co-workers brought me a plate of food for lunch, and I saved half of it for dinner so I didn't even have to cook for myself!

I've got chicklets! I musta had the oven turned up too high cuz they seemed to have cooked a little fast. I wasn't expecting the little darlings until at least tomorrow. Gotta get a brooder together so I can unload 'em in the morning. Tonight, they're all about the cheep, cheep, cheep!

Still waiting for the hatchery to tell me that the Midget White turkeys are available.... might or might not go for it when the time comes.

Okay, today I was snarky with a company. I'm ususally not that way, but if I want to give somebody multiple thousands of my dollars - I expect them to kinda jump through hoops for me.

This story begins Christmas 2011. DH bought me many, many thousands of dollars worth of diamonds. A beautiful necklace, and some oh-so-incredible earrings. They were gorgeous! I cried... he cried... but.... I'm not a diamond kinda gal. He did it out of guilt from a bad time in our marriage, but I didn't need that. What I really wanted was a new barn, lol. I had him return the diamonds and since then he's been telling me that he owes me a barn.

So, a while back, I contacted a company and asked for a brochure of barn plans. A couple weeks later I asked, AGAIN, for them to send me a brochure. Still no brochure...so I sent them a cruddy email this morning and told them that their business practices kinda sucked - or maybe they just didn't need any more business.

Well, about 17 seconds later I heard back from them... all apologetic. They want to show me a barn they just built in the area, so maybe I'll meet up with 'em in a couple days and see what they can do. I WANT a barn - but I've always had trouble spending money for things that I want... crazy, huh?

Supposed to start raining tomorrow and keep it up until Thursday.. ugh! I don't want no more stinking rain, but whatcha gonna do?

WBF - if I wanted to clean a kitchen, I'd clean mine, LOL! However, I do loan out DH occasionally - he's the kitchen guy at our house. I cook, he cleans. Works out just fine for me. :)

Had 24 chicklets when I woke up this morning and there's still a few more left trying to pop a top!

Deb, I guess I could build a floating chicken tractor! We'll probably need one real soon. Rain is supposed to start soon. It'll rain on and off most of today and supposedly, all day tomorrow. GRRRRRRRR, I need about a gazillion loads of dirt so I can raise my place up about 6 feet higher than the surrounding area. I hate mud. period. hate it. (except when we need rain) (( which we don't)) (((yet)))

Didn't sleep well last night. Not sure if I missed DH, or missed the noise of the bedside fan that he took with him, lol. But, I heard everything last night including the cat fight outside my window which kept turning the motion detector light on - and the dogs barking at the cats - and the roosters crowing at everything. I never hear anything at night, so I'm going to have to make sure to keep an extra fan in the room just in case he takes the other one with him on his next business trip.

I'm thinking about heading home at lunch to take care of a couple things. It's supposed to start raining this afternoon, and I want to get a jumpstart on my evening chores.

Have a great day everyone!

Are you getting wind? It's howling here. Not raining, though. Yet.
