WAY too many You all should campaign and demand cameras at junctions. It would save so many lives and imagine all the money that will be made from the fines

There were previously red-light cameras in many areas in Texas but they've been contested and basically been outlawed. Even though - some cities still use them. My city is not one of them...

A friend of mine got T-boned at an intersection - but it was entirely her fault. She stopped for the stop sign, then pulled out in front of a pickup truck towing a trailer. She said she thought it was a 4-way stop. The poor guy never had a chance to hit the brakes or anything. Smacked into her passenger door going 55 mph. Luckily, she didn't have a passenger and neither one of them had any serious injuries. She totaled out both vehicles though. And she got ticketed for inattentive driving and lost points off her drivers licence. She is a horrible driver and I panic any time that I have to ride with her.

Terrible, terrible on the accidents. I never want to be in another serious crash

I did have a low speed crash where I t-boned a young chickiepoo who had borrowed her dad's vintage Chevy malibu to show off at work. She was way late heading home. I was on the yellow flasher side of red/yellow stop light. She stopped and then pulled right out in front of me. Still ranting as the cop arrived. "Why didn't you stop when I pulled out in front of you". Cop looked at me smiling, and said to just wait in my car.

They really should reconsider and bring them back.

We have them here VaBeach, Norfolk, etc. at the larger, busier intersections. Lot of tickets. Big money. But, may help those who get them stop and stay put next time!

Just yesterday, we were several cars behind an idiot who swerved from the middle lane to the right lane and the far right turn lane--right in front of an 18 wheeler, who screeched brakes and laid on his horn.

They do exist…

Sooo tired today. It's one of the Fridays that I'm supposed to be off - but we went on a field trip with 30 students. The Health Museum in Houston this morning, then over to IFly. It's an indoor "skydiving" place and oh my - it's really cool. It was a lot of fun watching our students overcoming their fears and doing something that was totally alien to them.

We have our students on campus for six weeks and everyday we bring in lunch for them. Many times we have leftovers and only a small refrigerator so we try to send the extra home with one of the kids. Yesterday I gave the leftovers to one of our part-time instructors who just happens to be the mother of one of our students. She's a single mom - two kids and two grandkids at home so I knew the extra food would come in handy. As soon as I gave her the food she had tears rolling down her face. She told me that they'd gone to bed the night before with no food and that she and the grown-ups could do it - but that it broke her heart to see her 18 month old grandbaby hungry. Well....that just won't do so I was able to dip into goat money a give her a 'love donation' this morning that will hold her through until payday. Another co-worker did the same. She was so grateful and her son gave me a big ol' hug today after the field trip and whispered 'thanks' in my ear. I'm a gramma too....can't have hungry folks when we are so blessed. Just asked two things of her - pay it forward when she is able - and to do something for herself. I'm not a big church goer - and I don't tithe - so at least once a year I pick a person and/or cause and try to do something for someone else.

Tomorrow will be a busy farm day. I have to unload the last three bales of hay and find a place for it. Need to move a couple goats around too and try to get some pics so I can list some. Have to mow too...always something.

Sounds like your co worker would be a likely recipient for some home slaughtered pork......or goat...…
