sorry about your team not coming through. that is the extent of my sports knowlege. :)

when you've been through storms and events enough times it can become routine, but to me the danger of routine is that you may not have a written checklist to go through and not remember something that later on you wish you'd have thought of... good luck! :) even with laundry... :)

we're likely ok no matter what here but i also expect bumps in our road because things are getting old here and might break given the right kinds of stresses and winter cold might do it.

I’m lounging in sweat pants and a long sleeved T shirt that was BJs. I’ll put on a flannel shirt, sweat hoodie over that, thick wool socks, Carhart insulated overalls, a Carhart coat and knit hat. Leather gloves, rubber boots complete my stylish ensemble of Farmer Wear. Then I shall waddle outside, careful not to fall down the back steps and waddle back and forth to fetch feed, alfalfa and multiple trips carrying buckets half full of boiling water for sheep drinking pleasure. Then come in, strip off all that gear, fix brunch and do it all over again this afternoon.

Ya gotta be nuckin’ futs to do this!

We have snow. Roads, driveway and sidewalks are solid covered but yard and pastures have taller grass showing through. Not exactly the pretty picture that I hoped for. However, it's still coming down pretty hard. And wind, we have wind. Brrrrrr.

I've added another layer to my normal cold weather attire, but haven't decided if I'll wear the carhart coveralls. They are definitely warm, but they're so stiff that it makes movement ridiculously hard and clumsy. I had the bright idea to wash them the other day in hopes of softening them up. They are probably 10 years old and only worn a couple times and have never been washed. So....I threw 'em in the washing machine. I swear when I pulled them out of the washer to go in the dryer - they weren't wet, lol. They literally had shed 99% of the water, lol.

The snow is supposed to continue until early to mid-afternoon. Sun scheduled to come out after that. Snow will probably be nothing but a memory by tomorrow. Tonight will be our coldest night. Mid-teens likely. Thankfully no power issues (yet). :fl Well, the only power problem is going to be when the bill comes in!

I'm about to finish the first cup and may have another before I go out. All hay feeders, plus extras that I hung, were stuffed full last night so nobody is starving. They can let me coffee up before facing this mess, lol.

i had to move some boxes for Mom this morning into the car, even with the garage door closed it was still too cold for me to linger.

we had a light dusting of snow last night and the sun is out now so some of that snow will sublimate today. it won't get warm enough to actually melt.
