Slept in until 7:30. It was nice, lol. It was 12 degrees when I got up. Ran to get my phone and take a pic and it had jumped up to 13. What the heck is happening in southeast Texas?!? Sure hope it'll kill a bug or two (million)!

Speaking of cold weather and bugs I keep whining about needing a screen/green house. DH is like - order one, have it delivered and assembled. Uh, I was thinking more like a hoop house that I can construct myself, lol. Rarely need an actual "green" house here. Whoops - who woke up to ridiculously freezing weather?

Supposed to have a visiting nurse visit today. Part of what the insurance offers and DH agrees to all that mess. Hope she decides to stay off the roads and far away from my house today, lol.

Gotta start the baby watch in a week or so. Thankful none are delivering during this mess.

This is just January. Hope February behaves itself and that we have honest to goodness spring right on schedule in March!

Woo Hoo - visiting nurse decided not to visit after all! Yay - I was soooo not up for having a visitor today.

Spent some time in the barn re-building/repairing the divider where the feeders hang. Stoopid goats always stand up on it and it ends up leaning, leaning, leaning... and eventually it's terminal. I have to do this a couple times a year. I guess if I didn't want to keep doing the same job over and over I'd need to use real posts and concrete them in. The dirt inside the barn is too soft to hold the t-posts very long before they start to give up. Got that done and then worked on kidding pens in the red barn. Got most of them put back together. Haven't raked them out or bedded them yet. That'll happen soon enough. Don't want to use up bedding until its needed. Also need to work on the pens in the little barn soon, probably tomorrow.

Freeze again tonight but not nearly as bad as the one last night. Tomorrow night should be the last one for a while. I'm ok with that!

Worked hard today and I'm hungry. Planned exactly nothing for dinner. Better rustle up some do-overs or a meal in a jar.
