Last week whille we were in CA. My neighbor fed and watered the chickens, and even got a couple of eggs!
Yesterday I got a phone call from her saying she wanted to give me one of the eggs back. "It won't crack! We dropped it on the floor and it still won't crack!" I was puzzled so we met over the back fence so she could give me this strange "uncrackable" egg.

When she handed it to me I "cracked up"...

It was one of the wooden eggs I had in the nest box to help show the new chickens were I wanted them to lay theiir eggs.

I still laugh when I think of them trying to open that egg!

My son "helped" me out one day by gathering all the eggs and putting them in the cartons. My father-in-law asked me several days later if I was out to get him. Apparently my son had gave him one of my ceramic eggs that I had in our nest box. The thing is so realistic that even I have to pay attention when I gather eggs. I was just glad my FIL got it and not one of my regular paying customers.

:gig That's why I have a large stone egg out in my nest boxes. Surely they'd know a stone from an egg? So far nobody has brought it in. That is hillarious though

You were in Ca???

Ditto that.

Otherwise thats funny!!
Yes, we did a whirlwind visit to my Uncle in Grand Terrace, CA.
We left on Monday, and came back on Wednesday.

He was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in Aug. The Drs. were wanting to remove his lower jaw, tongue, and larynx!! He said "No." to surgery, but did chemo and radiation.

After three chemo treatments and a couple radiation treatments, there is now NO sign of the tumors or any cancer!!

We are all very thankful!!
