Thanks for all your patience as we clean things up post-merge / import!

Still a bit of stuff to do. Would love your thoughts and feedaback!!!!
I have to admit, when I come on here, I go to my watched threads first, and then to new posts. I hardly ever click on the home page or the page that has all the different forums and subcategories. But I did just now to try find the imported area, and since I don’t know what categories we already had, I don’t know which ones are the new ones.

It doesn’t look like they are all just in one new forum section like you did with TEG? I saw some stuff with old dates and unfamiliar usernames, so maybe those are it. Although if it’s old SS content, I wouldn’t know those usernames anyway. I think I will scroll around some more and see if I can find the new import stuff.

Edit: ok, now that I’ve looked deeper, there appear to be 5 unfamiliar forum sections in between Making and Saving Energy and Social. Two of them are about woodworking so that makes sense. The other 3 are about skills that I figured SS people would want to be able to handle on their properties, so those ones might have tricked me into thinking they were already here. Lol. But they look old, and I think I saw some written in Italian, so that’s potential spam. I’ll go back again.

Thank you @Nifty for all you do keeping up these forums.

i'm not sure i'll get time to go through any new forums unless someone else responds to a thread and it comes up on my what's new display. it doesn't mean i don't care or i'm not interested it just means i'm short on extra time and so i can't go looking.

if i do get a chance you'll see me replying where interested. :)

the only questions i have are:

- do you want reports of spam posts or obvious OT stuff or just leave it all for now?

- and i'm not sure what the policy is towards things written in other languages since i'm not a native speaker of other languages aside from computer languages?

Yup, if you see spam, etc., please report it!

Report it and we'll translate to English and review it... and probably delete it since most of the time, that stuff will be spam.

Hi SS Friends!

As some of you know, I own a couple very dead forums:

www.RemodelForums.com
www.WoodworkingBoards.com

It's a bit of a paint to maintain a dead forum, but I'm adamantly against deleting historical content people posted.

That being the case, and after much discussion and deliberation, I've decided it's best to import the data from those forums into sub-sections of SS.

So, you'll soon see a couple new sections soon :)

There will be a little dust / cleanup to do with the imported data, so I appreciate your patience!

Once the sections and threads/posts are imported, I'd love your thoughts and feedback on how to organize the sections. If we merge them, move threads, etc. etc. etc.

Thanks again for being a great community!

Rob
For sure, looking forward to seeing your imported threads : )
