Thanks for posting! I did not know it could reduce blood pressure. I'm going to attempt some this spring.
Mom is a diabetic, which is what actually spured my decision to start learning about healthier eating. I've been trying to get her on stevia for years now, but I'm having no luck. I think this might help, as she also has high blood pressure. I count it a success that I've gotten her to eat a spoonful of peanut butter instead of ice cream when her sugar gets low.
I wondered for the longest time why stevia tasted chemicalish to me when I put it in hot stuff. I finally used it in something cold and it tasted fine.
Just don't be fooled by Truvia, by Cargill. Apparently the MEN reporter was fooled. Truvia is sugar alcohol, with a hint of stevia. Deceptively packaged to look like it is all stevia. Since it is Cargill, my guess is that it comes from genetically modified corn.
Vodka=GOOD! I usually can't enjoy sugar period b/c I have low blood sugar. I have always had my tea and coffee with no sugar, and I refuse to use fake sugar. I'm looking forward to some interesting cocktails that I stayed away from in the past. That lemon drop was scrumptious!
Thanks for pointing that out freemotion...I made sure to get the pure stevia with no additives. I read each box and bottle just like you taught me!
That's the erythritol in truvia, right? That was the first "stevia" I bought. When I got the bitter taste, I thought it was the erythritol, so I threw it out and bought Sweetleaf. How does that one compare?
