Some people don't mind the sugar alcohols. I know WZ uses them. They really mess with my digestive system, even in tiny amounts, so I steer clear. I get ticked at deceptive advertising and packaging obviously meant to fool people and cash in on a trend by this deception.
I use the juice of one lemon or one lime, a bunch of squirts of stevia extract, water, and vodka for a yummy cocktail. I use a very big glass and have it with a big batch of popcorn with butter.....not LGI, but I can tolerate it occasionally if I am good the rest of the day. If I have that too often, my jeans start getting tight!
There is a taste to stevia, some brands more than others. I use a number of different brands, Sweetleaf is one. Also have used Now, 365, and a couple others I can't think of. I buy the dropper bottle of stevia extract for most uses as it is much cheaper per use, and I buy some packets to put in my pocket when I go out or when I travel.
I like it better in things that have a taste that will disguise the taste of the stevia. I like it better in chai tea than in black tea, but I will use it in the black tea. In baking, which is rare here, I use it to reduce the sugar more than to eliminate it in certain things. In a pie, I use the drops and get good results. I have used the drops in jam with VERY good results.
