I think she has the same issue with BYC, too. She had a bug a couple months back and since then hasn't been able to do a whole lot, and the work computer is designated specifically for work only. She doesn't want to take a chance and possibly get something on that.

I'll have to ask her exactly what the issue is again and see if she wants us to let Nifty know.. Maybe he could fix it. I thought maybe she needed to delete her 'cookies' but I don't think that helped much..

I know she stops by and will read stuff, just can't log in.

Yeah, I've torn this wretched box apart and put it back together several times and still no sound. I think it's something on the motherboard. The next 'puter will probably have sound, but most times even when the sound works I keep it turned off. At the moment, most of my spare time is taken up in building a spinning wheel. I've got a new design for a variable ratio spinning wheel, it should go from 4:1 to 20:1 without having to change bobbin whorls or bands or anything else. At the moment, it's half on the drawing board and half in real life. There's seven angora rabbits out there growing wool as fast as they can and it's hard to keep up with just a drop spindle.
If you are running Vista, right-click on the speaker icon on your task bar. Click on "playback devices". When the sound window comes up, right click and pick "show disabled devices". I am not saying this is the solution for you, but it worked when I thought my computer did not have sound.

Yea! for angora wool. I have to say, I am a naturally slow spinner and find I don't use my wheel nearly as much as I use my spindle. Of course, the wheel is upstairs in a cold unused bedroom right now. Not enticing. I use the spindle in the living room in the warm!

I wish I had had those videos when I was learning- I sort of taught myself.
