Wife is in love with the house, it's been completely remodeled with expensive fixtures, the full basement has even been completely finished. She also liked the little fruit tree orchard.

I like that it's 20 cleared acres, with a huge barn on cement slab, a unfinished 4 car garage being converted into an apartment that would keep me busy for a while, finishing. It has a single car garage and a few smaller out buildings. The pond is plenty big and deep enough for fish and fowl. It's also plenty big enough for any animals, I would want to raise.

We would be stupid to not put an offer on the place.

Here is a more current arial. I'll follow up with more pictures.

Here's some pictures of the outside and outside buildings. I didn't take any pictures of the inside out the house due to respect of personal belongings of the young couple that lives there. They did a really good job on the remodeling. Even the basement has divided rooms that have been dry walled and trimmed.

Pretty rolling hilly farmland.

Large pond, the have a two seat paddle boat in it. And there were baby ducks in a tub in the barn.

I could see myself being very happy with that property!!!!!!!!!!

The barb wire fencing is pretty strange... I say maybe 3 or 4 acres are mowed and fenced around the house and barn, an orchard (the trees are OLD). All this is on high ground.

Then around 6 or 7 acres all gently sloping to the pond, including the pond are fenced. Then it slops back up and remainder about 10 acres is fenced.

But irregardless there is more than enough acreage in grass for me to put some hoofs on and also have enough hay for the winter. I really want some cattle and sheep, maybe some hogs.

Bay and Her husband got me thinking differently.

Oh I forgot to tell you. I don't know if they were wild or tame but I saw several quail and a few partridge run and fly when I started down the patch to the pond. I figured it best I not go down there. I suspect they were wild, it's not uncommon to see both around here

If I didn't have so much family around here in southern IL. I would move to Missouri around the Mark Twain national forest. But I'll have to settle for around the Shawnee Nation Forest.
Ah yes. Family ties can be pretty dang strong. Was Mark Twain from MO?

Mark Twain for MO, I really don't know... But it's beautiful country in the Mark Twain. My son and I hiked from Greer crossing, along the river up to McCormick lake. If I recall correctly, it was like 600 feet up along switch back. No cell phone service at all the whole time we were up there. I didn't pack in any water, used my life straw when we came across a brook or stream.

It was the longest 3.6 miles I ever hiked in my life. Bear scat on the trail about every 15 minutes. You could smell the bears but couldn't see them or hear them. The entire trail, I found one empty zip lock sandwich baggie. I picked it up and stuffed it into my pack. It ain't like that trail is used often or maintained. Numerous wind fall trees we had to climb over or go around. Steep Cliff on one side, hill on the other climb over.

We pitched tent at McCormick Lake, we were awaken by the sound of a mountain lion outside the tent. Scarred the crap out of me.

When we pitched tent we got a pan of water out of the lake and boiled it and added water purification tablet. So I could have coffee first thing in the morning. It froze solid overnight, lol. So much for coffee first thing in the morning. But it's something I'll never forget...

If you go, pack in a .45 in a chest holster, if anything you'll feel more secure that you can protect yourself. if a bear should get frisky. Like I said we smelt them and saw their scat, but could see them or hear them. I know they were watching us the whole time, we could sense it.

If I had my way, that's where we would be living but happy wife, happy life.
