I wanted to get this thread back up, hoping with all the new people, there is more input. I am looking to buy a grain roller, hand-cranked or electric, for hopefully under $100 that will make nice, thick, rolled oats for oatmeal. My folks eat it almost daily, and I know they would love a roller and a bucket of oats, so I want to surprise them. (hope Dad doesn't lurk on this site! If so, it's not me, Dad, it is someone else who looks kinda like me....proof is the palm trees in the back....)

OK, this is the one I am ordering, looks like just what I wanted at a great price, and my folks have a KitchenAid stand mixer, so it is PERFECT. I may have to get another one for myself.....

They have a nice selection. I'll keep you posted on how it works. Off I go to order the oats!
