Don't forget to take a trip to Italy.....Oregano. Garlic, Basil, and Italian flat leaf parsely, good for the digestion when your eating it on a pizza! :gig

I keep my herbs in a raised container bed on my patio near the kitchen door. In a small space I have enough to use year round dried and fresh.

Ditto on the mints :barnie I share generously with all my friends.

I wish I had more Lavender. I love lots of Lavender.

I absolutely love the website linked below. Not only can you find hard to find seeds there, but he also gives a description of how to use the medicinal herbs that you grow. Check it out, he has a recipe for a tincture (and lozenges) there.

Oh, I meant to tell you in my earlier post and forgot, my grandma was not a licensed herbalist, but she knew so much she should have pursued it. She controlled her high blood pressure for years with cayenne pepper. She made a tincture (vinegar based, not vodka) out of crushed cayenne and drank 4 ounces daily. Also, I will have to research it for the medicinal properties because i don't remember what she used it for, but she always had spiderwort growing in her medicinal herb garden.
