Lovin' The Homestead
Some of the best onions we ever had were some that we overlooked. In the fall we pulled all the onions we had planted in the spring - they had not done well that year, we just got green onions out of them, due to a short growing season in Wyoming. The next spring, I happened to go behind the greenhouse (which we had set in the previous fall after pulling the onions), and there were three onions we had forgot. It was all weedy, the grass was as high as the onions were, and though they were still only green onions they were huge!
