Spring has sprung here in southern IL FINALLY! I just took my wife's dog out. The sounds outside we're so loud but also so smoothing to the soul.
Bullf frogs croaking, tree frogs singing, chrickets chirping, owls hooting and I even heard a few tree dogs barking. Wow how I missed that those sounds, it's making me want to go giggin for legs

What does that even mean? Lol
No snow in our forecast, finally! We had a pond in our driveway yesterday from melting snow. But we still have nearly 2 feet that needs to melt. Spring isn't here quite yet, but it's coming.

MMM love me some bull frog legs where in ILL are you? I was born in East Moline and went bull frog hunting on the shores of the Mississippi until my grandparents passed away 5 yrs ago. Really miss it think I need to sneak up there again

Legs are a rare treat for sure! I like to sramble egg wash, roll in yellow corn mean and fry in lard - they are so good! Boy I got my mouth watering just writing about it.
I'm out in the country of a little town called creal springs, sugar creek runs the length of my property. If you cross sugar creek your in the Shawnee National Forest. There are lots of ponds, creeks and natural springs to gig around here.

Just HOPE that glorious day of "sounds" stays around. We had a beautiful month of "Spring Weather" here in February. Now -- we are having February weather!! NOT good. We will/are stressing over a Spring garden now. Generally many things are planted. Not this year. Costing a lot for extra hay, grass slow to grow.
Weather here today is sunny and could be warm if not for the 25mph NW winds coming in ahead of yet ANOTHER cold front! I am really tired of this and want some warm, warm, WARM weather.
