Also you might check "sewability". They send out a free catalog but it takes a while to get it. It is all horse patterns...costumes, winter blankets, fly sheets, western and english show clothes, saddle covers, fly maskes.... also some dog stuff. And cheep! The fly mask pattern was only $6.00 for all sizes, I have made many. I made the money back the first one I made!
I also saw some very creative costumes on utube when I was looking for ideas.

but I would not ride in a fly mask...ever
unless it was on my property and 'needed' or if the horse was 'super' less than bombproof in whatever situation.
horses are eyes and ears and flight.
they are prey.
so ya'll be careful outfitting a horse.
We had a local parade, local bombproof horses and one went nuts a bit...well that flag thing they tied to his tail caught his eye everytime he swished or the weight of what was tired there....either way a perfect horse was not happy with the 'tied to the tail' situation and became a PIA real fast in the parade.
