We were discharged on Saturday afternoon. We have our first followup appt tomorrow. She is doing well at home and we are praying that we don't have a recurrence.
I had 'terrible' news when we got home. I had just planted my garden with winter veggies...several kinds of lettuce, carrots, spinach, peas... however, some of the children of one of the ladies that babysat mine during the hospitalization used the garden as a sandbox.
I guess I will just wait and see what grows up where. I don't know what else to do. What would you do?
After what you have been through, I would run to Lowes, Home Depot, and Orchard and get half grown plants and pretend it never happened and that you are such an awesome gardener that your plants grow out of compassion for you and your daughter.
My family was taken care of so well by family and church friends during our recent hospitalization. That in itself was such a blessing! I didn't have to be concerned about *if* my family was eating well, *if* my husband had clean clothes, etc. I could keep my focus on watching over my daughter.
Well, another blessing has been given. Last night a friend brought dinner and Christmas gifts. Those are under the tree, but she directed my husband and me to open ours after she left. Inside was a $100 giftcard to WinCo, our local grocery store. What a huge blessing!! I am excitedly making my stock-up-on-stuff-I-wouldn't-otherwise-get list.
