Happy for you.Always so exciting to start new.Be sure to take pictures. It is always amazing to see the change of a place over the years. I have been working on mine for 5 years now,but I am ready to move on if someone will take it off my hands, lol.

Good size lot you have.
Mine is under an acre and keeps me busy.

The coop itself looks good, but I'm not too sure about the fence. Chicken wire won't keep out a determined predator.

The coop looks good but I agree with Deb about the chicken wire not keeping predators out. We run a 3' section of hardware cloth on the bottom section of our enclosed runs and also run a wire skirt on the ground 2' - 3' out to help prevent anything from digging into the run. Since moving to AR, I'm taking advantage of the free, large rocks on our property and have them laid around the coop/run perimeter.

You might want to build a sturdier ladder , too. That one was built 5+ years ago, using a log and some scrap 1" x 2" and we're still using it.
