I turned out the lights on and in the house to ward off any trick or treaters, if the "NO TRESPASSING" and "BEWARE OF DOG" on the gate doesn't do the trick.

I wouldn't mind them, but we have no candy to give.

No one comes to our area. You could only hit 5 or 6 houses between dusk and 8:30. So everyone goes to this little neighborhood of prefab homes. They give out crummy candy, so we drive into Castle Rock and hit the upper middle class areas. Five kids got 2 of those reusable shopping bags full to the brim.

They need to set uo some common etiquette for people giving out candy. If you have decorations all over you must give up the candy. If you don't want anyone coming to your door, then shut off the lights. simple stuff

LOL I know what you mean.

If you decorate to the max, candy is required.:p

Light turn out this year despite nice weather. Our neighborhood demographic has changed though so no big surprise. We decorate so we have plenty of candy. Hubby loves seeing all the cute munchkins in their costumes. When our kids were little, he always seemed to be working on Halloween. I guess he is making up for lost time :D

While he handed out candy to the neighborhood kids, I gave a treat to the fluffy kids...

These people had a haunted house thing set up on their garage. When you walk through there's the usual stuff. Then there's 2 baby dolls in coffins. For a treat they are handing out key chains with a day care logo on them. Weird
