Just like it's my job to cook the stuffed turkey for Thanksgiving. It's also my job to cook a big ole pot of overnight soaked and rinsed great northern beans, cooked with left over ham bone from Christmas & corn bread. We've done this every year every since we married. I don't know why... But it's guaranteed to be new years day dinner. A guy learns not to question things like this. Besides it's easy for me to cook and delicious.

I've got the pot ready to go already...
