great you have lots of space....
buy all you can in bulk...
if you have a vacume packager....great....
the other tip....
now I don't want to sound grose here....
but what ever you do make as much as you can....
if you vacume package
add an oygen absorber
then seel in a mylar bag....is good for......up to 20 years....

you can do this with all your staples or freezer items...

Hello! I have found myself in an odd place. I have 2 refrigerators, a small freezer, root cellar and pantry. But they are um mostly empty. I don't really know what staples I should have. I have just starting cooking from scratch. Also I had my first garden this year. My DH is looking at deer hunting next year. So that should fill the freezer. What should I always have on hand?
Store what you eat and eat what you store.

Some things to consider:
What will you do if you lose electricity?
Learn about root cellaring. It sounds simple but there are things to consider.
One deer won't fill a freezer.
Don't go overboard and acquire more than you can use in one to two years, especially for goods that aren't canned or dry.

And make sure to rotate your goods as you buy them, new to the back- older to the front!
